For there are three . that bear Record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghoft, and these three are One, 1 John v. 7. So GOD loved the World, that he gave his only begotten Son, &c. John iii. 16. Whofe goings forth have been from of old from everlafting, Mic. v. 2. Before Abraham was, I am, John viii. 58. In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was GOD. All Things were made by Him, and without Him was not any Thing made that was made, John i. 1, 3. For by Him were all Things + created that are in Heaven, and that are in Earth, vifible and invifible, whether they be Thrones or Dominions, or Principalities or Powers; all Things were created by Him and for Him. And he is before all Things, and by Him all Things confift, Col. i. 16, 17. He that built all Things is GOD, Heb. iii. 4. We are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jefus Chrift; this is the True GOD and Eternal Life, I John v. 20. Unto the Son he faith, Thy Throne, O God, is for ever and ever.-And, thou, Lord, in the Beginning haft laid the Foundation of the Earth, and the Heavens are the Works of thine Hands, Heb. i. 8, 10. 3 John x. 30. I and my Father are One, [Gr. ev]. 4 Behold a Virgin fhall conceive and bear a Son, and fhall call his Name Immanuel-which being interpreted, is "GOD with us," If. vii. 14. Matt. i. 22, 23. Unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the Government fhall be upon his Shoulder: And his Name fhall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, J. ix. 6. When B 2 the [4] the Fulness of Time was come, GOD fent forth a Son made of a Woman, made under the Law, Gal. iv. 4. Who being in the Form of God, thought it no Robbery to be equal with GOD. But made himself of no Reputation, and took upon Him the Form of a Servant, and was made in the Likenefs of Men; and being found in Fashion as a Man, he humbled himself, &c. Phil. ii. 6, 7, 8. Since by Man came Death, by Man came also the Refurrection of the Dead, I Cor. xv. 21. The fecond Man is the Lord from Heaven, lb. ver. 47. As the Children are Partakers of Flesh and Blood, He also likewise took Part of the fame.-Verily he took not on him the Nature of Angels, but of the Seed of Abraham; wherefore in all Things it behoved Him to be made like unto his Brethren, Heb. ii. 14, 16. 52 Cor. v. 19. GOD was in Chrift. Col. ii. 9. In Him dwelleth all the Fulnefs of the GODHEAD bodily. I Tim. iii. 16. GOD was manifeft in the Fleth *. 6 Luke xviii. 13. GOD be merciful (aobh, be propitious) to me a Sinner, 1 John ii. 2. He (Chrift) is the Propitiation (ino) for our Sins. Matt. iii. 17. This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 1 John ii. 12. Your Sins are forgiven you for His (Chrift's) Name's Sake. Jer. xxxi. 33. I will be their GOD, they fhall be my People. Ver. 34. I will forgive their Iniquity, and I will remember their Sin no more. 2 Cor. vi. 16. GOD hath faid, I will dwell in them, and walk in them: I will be their GOD, they fhall be my People.-I will re ye ceive you, and be a Father unto you, and fhall be my Sons and Daughters, faith the Lord Almighty. Eph, i. 6. He HATH MADE US ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED. Ver. ·7. In whom we have Redemption through His Blood' the Forgiveness of Sins, according to the Riches of his Grace, wherein he hath abounded towards us, &c. 2 Cor. v. 18. All Things are of Gop, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jefus Chrift, and hath given to us the Miniftry of Reconciliation; to wit, that GOD was in Chrift reconciling the World to himself. Col. i. 21, 22. And you that were fometime alienated, and Enemies in your Minds by wicked Works, yet now hath he reconciled, in the Body of his Flesh through Death, &'c. * • Appendix, D. - Eph. 7Eph. v. 2. Chrift hath loved us, and hath given himfelf for us, an Offering and a Sacrifice to GOD for a sweet smelling Savour. Heb. ix. 26, 28. He hath appeared to put away Sin by the Sacrifice of Himfelf. Chrift was once offered to bear the Sins of many. 1 John i. 7. The Blood of Jefus Chrift cleanfeth from all Sin. Pet. ii. 24. Who His ownfelf bare our Sins in his own Body on the Tree. I. liii. 5, 6. He was wounded for our Tranfgreffions, he was bruised for our Iniquities: The Chaftifement of our Peace was upon him, and with his Stripes we are healed. All we like Sheep have gone aftray, we have turned every one to his own Way, and the Lord hath laid on Him the Iniquity of us all. Ver. 8. For the Tranfgreffion of my People was he ftriken. Ver. 10. When thou shalt make his Soul an Offering for Sin, he fhall fee his Seed, he fhall prolong his Days, and the Pleasure of the Lord fhall profper in his Hand. He fhall fee of the Travail of his Soul, and be fatisfied; by his Knowledge fhall my righteous Servant juftify many, for he fhall bear their Iniquities. ARTICLE III. David being a Prophet, and knowing_that GOD had fworn with an Oath unto him, that of the Fruit of his Loins according to the Flefh, he would raise up Chrift to fit on his Throne. He feeing this before, fpake of the Resurrection of Chrift, that his Soul was not left in Hell, neither his Flesh did fee Corruption. Acts x. 40. Him God raised up the third Day, and thewed him openly, not to all the People, but unto Witneffes, chofen before of GOD, even to us who did eat and drink with Him after he rose from the Dead. 2 Luke xx. 27. Then faith He to Thomas, reach hither thy Finger and behold my Hands, and reach hither thy Hand, and thruft it into my Side. Luke xxiv. 39. And he faid, Behold my Hands and my Feet, that it is I myself; handle me and fee, for a Spirit hath not Flesh and Bones as ye fee me have. 3 Luke xxiv. 50, 51. He led them out as far as to Bethany. And it came to pafs, while he bleffed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into Heaven. A&ts ii. 10.
