Amen. 16 ADMINISTRATION DEARLY BELOVED, A S ye intend to come to the Holy Communion of the body and blood of our Saviour Jesus Christ, by receiving this holy Testament; my exhortation to you is, First, That you would raise your hearts unto God in prayer, according to that perfect form which Christ gave his disciples; devoutly relying on the sure promise of God for the answer of your humble petitions. Secondly, I exhort you, in the name of our Lord Jesus, that you draw near, in this sacred ordinance, in the lively exercise of faith; directing your full and grateful attention to those words of its institution, in which the blessed Redeemer grants us his body and blood, for the remission of sins.
